On a warm June evening, the River Walk Garden Club returned to Pirate’s Cove Restaurant in Chesapeake, VA for a truly special celebration — our 2026 Installation Banquet marking 30 years of friendship, learning, and community. The familiar nautical charm of Pirate’s Cove made the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with laughter, gratitude, and milestone moments as members gathered to honor three decades of growth and to welcome the newly installed board for the upcoming season.
This year’s banquet offered a chance to reflect not only on the inspiring programs and connections of the past season, but on the legacy built over thirty vibrant years. Heartfelt thanks were shared with our outgoing board for their dedication, and the installation ceremony celebrated the incoming officers whose enthusiasm promises another flourishing year ahead.
And of course, Pirate’s Cove delivered once again — generous coastal fare, rave‑worthy food, and desserts that kept the celebration sweet. It was an evening woven with appreciation, seaside charm, and the joy of reaching such a meaningful milestone together.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our 30th Anniversary Banquet unforgettable. Here’s to fresh ideas, flourishing gardens, and another season of friendship, growth, and River Walk Garden Club pride.
